LuminaVision Functions

Lumina Vision is a software system designed to support a wide range of bio-imaging analysis operations from capturing of fluorescent images to their analysis. Among the many functions of the software system to support such imaging operations, it is designed to allow your PC to perform filter wheel control to select the excitation light source (wavelength) necessary for fluorescent image capturing and light source shutter control/Z-stage control necessary for time lapse image capturing.

Equipped with the deconvolution functionality that is used worldwide


Three kinds of deconvolution
It removes optical blur, handles the particular type of out-of-focus image you get with fluorescence, and can perform three-dimensional construction. It can capture the image with a fluorescent microscope almost as if it has been taken by a confocal laser microscope. Because it doesn't radiate strong excitation light like a laser, there is little damage to cells and minimal discoloration. Using different algorithms, there are three modes: "Realtime Deconvolution", "Nearest Neighbor", and "3D Blind". Furthermore, you can observe the 3D image from various angles with a Z-slice image which is constructed by the deconvolution function. These deconvolution functions are similar to the "AutoDeblur" image deconvolution software that is the life science industry leader, and produce outstanding results.

Realtime Deconvolution
High-speed processing is possible through the use of this algorithm of the new system. It can remove out-of-focus images smoothly from the preview screen. The processing can be applied during timelapse image capture.

Nearest Neighboor
This function processes with three images, a target image and top and bottom images. It can remove out-of-focus images with high speed and high precision.

3D Blind
This mode reconstructs images, based on all information of the slice image. This function is superior for removing out-of-focus images because it calculates the out-of-focus position using PSF (Point Spread Function). In addition, this can analyze luminance with high precision.

Includes multi-point observation function

Corresponding to a screening by an observation plate.
It can capture multi-point image of the samples such as the slides, dishes and well plates automatically through the XY-stage control which enables multi-point observation. Furthermore, it prevents samples from being missed because of depth through the use of a Z-axis control. Tiling in each well is possible through the use of the image tiling function.

Merge function for creating a beautiful image

Clarifies existing fluorescence area by capturing and composing fluorescence images with more than 3 kinds of multi-point. The composition of fluorescence images and clear field images which are captured by phase difference or differential interference can be performed. It's also equipped with a fine adjustment function for optic axis problems such as brightness, contrast, display range and position gap.

Free layout
Screen layout can be modified to set only the necessary functions freely according to the purpose of use. Therefore, it's possible to set the operability and usability for each individual customer. Screen layouts without icons are also available, so that customers can achieve a purpose with minimal action. It can also correspond to routine work.
